I grew up in a culture that highly respects senior citizens.  Our seniors grew old with us, even dies with us.  Seniors lived at home with thier sons or daughters.  I helped my mother to take care of my grandfather who had cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc when I was still in high school.  I also helped my mother to take care of my father who lived with me and passed away 2005.  When I migrated to this country I realized that seniors mostly live on their own or live in foster homes.

 

I started working for elderly people.  I learnt to love and care for them as my own.  I have worked for many clients including quads, stroke clients,  wheelchair, diabetes, dementia, alzheimers,  hospice, parkinsons, even mentally disabled and many more.

 

I do keep clients company like playing cards, watch tv, sing, read a poem or even read the scriptures.  I do personal care, housekeeping, medications, meal prep, errands and or shopping and any necessary need of the client.
